I am an accomplished, masters-level trained instructional designer and adjunct faculty member with experience teaching on campus as well as online. For nearly seventeen years my work in higher education as an instructional designer has afforded me considerable opportunities to apply active learning strategies for student and faculty success. I am versed in pedagogical theory at a masters level and have had ample opportunities for practical application. Through continuing education, I stay abreast with current best practices and the application of educational technologies in distance learning.

Instructional Designer

⚈ Identify and develop instructional best practices for online and blended learning environments.
⚈ Collaborate and consult with faculty on the effective use of instructional design strategies, web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software to improve teaching for online delivery.
⚈ Ensure instructional integrity of the course development projects through a method of systematic design and clear course standards and objectives.
Provide recommendations for interface design, sequencing of instruction, use of assessments, and online interactive activities.
⚈ Serve as project manager for online and blended course development, coordinating course teams including instructors, relevant academic support staff, and multimedia specialists.

⚈ Work with Subject Matter Expert to ensure timely completion of course development obligations.
⚈ Ensure course resources meet accessibility (ADA/508 Compliance) and quality standards.
